Description

Motor oil is an important operating material for the function and longevity of the engine. We therefore only recommend engine oils with MB approval for use in Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The MB release of products can be identified by the information on the container “MB release xxx.xx” (e.g. MB release 229.72). All products approved by Mercedes-Benz for the respective engine oil specification are listed in MB sheets 226.xx and 229.xx. The engine oil specifications approved for Mercedes-Benz vehicles and engines can be found in the respective vehicle operating instructions and, if necessary, additional service information.
